It’s been a while between drinks for Jebs fans, but their new album is set to reignite the flame. Jebediah have scaled new heights with forthcoming album “Kosciuszko” and are set to release it with new label Dew Process in 2011. There was never a question of the Perth four-piece continuing to play music together, just a question of when.
Jedediah first grabbed the nation by the nether-regions with their multi-platinum debut album “Slightly Odway” featuring hit songs ‘Leaving Home’, ‘Teflon’ and ‘Harpoon’. Since then, they have released a slew of hits and played across Australia and the world.
Recorded in Perth over several months with Dave Parkin (Sugar Army, Snowman, Karnivool) at the helm, the new album is an exciting musical enterprise with a dynamic take on rock’n’roll.
"We Jebs are thrilled to be teaming up with Dew Process for the release of our brand spanking new album "Kosciuszko,” safe in the knowledge we have found the perfect home for our little baby. This little sucker took us a while to write and record and we are incredibly proud of what we have created."
“We've been admiring Dew Process and it's ever expanding roster of quality acts from across the dance floor for a number of years, so we are excited now to be part of the gang and can't wait for people to hear all this new music we've made," said frontman Kevin Mitchell.
Dew Process Managing Director Paul Piticco said “I met the Jebs many years ago when they were the first band on a tour I was promoting. They were fresh out of the garage and had just made their first recording and the energy, purpose and confidence they had in their songwriting was palpable. When I heard these new tracks from “Kosciuszko” for the first time I knew nothing had changed. I can't wait for Australia to hear this album!”
“Kosciuszko” will be released in April 2011. A brand new website will go live next week on www.jebediah.com.au - check in for more touring and album announcements.
