Dew Process is very pleased to invite friends Big Scary, Guineafowl and Ball Park Music to join their very own Last Dinosaurs in a special winter warming show. On June 23 Brisbane’s Troubadour will see the crème de la crème of Australia’s up-and-coming artists hit the stage for a night of fresh talent. Dew Process is serving it all to warm up those winter blues.
Off the back of their own East Coast tour, Last Dinosaurs are keen to show their hometown why they have now won the hearts of New South Wales and Victoria. Their debut release, EP “Back From The Dead” has received great reviews, only topped by the praise given to their boisterous and charming live show. This will be the last headline show the young guns will play in their home state before taking the stage at Splendour In The Grass Festival.
Flying north from Melbourne, Big Scary will bring their fuzz-driven pop to the stage. The two-piece have been stirring up the Melbourne music scene with the release of their debut EP “At The Mercy of the Elements” late last year. They have played all the right venues, supported all the right bands and will now heat up the Brisbane night like whiskey warming a cold heart.
Guineafowl was brought into conception only this year in Sydney. Starting out as a soloist, Guineafowl quickly grew into a sextet to help bring to life the quirky and catchy songs. The group have only recently made the jump from backyard performances to bars, yet are already selling out Sydney indie venues. Dew Process extends a warm hug of an interstate invitation to join the party.
Brisbane’s own Ball Park Music and their unique pop recipe full of sliding trombones and heart-breaking folk, jangly guitars and honky-tonk piano will be the final stoke of the fire at the Troubadour. The six piece wunderkinds released a self-produced debut EP “Rolling On The Floor, Laughing Ourselves To Sleep” in 2008 and just this week have backed that up with the release their second EP – “Conquer the Town, Easy as Cake.”
Tickets for Dew Process’ night of warming delights are on sale now.
