Bluejuice break a leg  27 August 2009

Bluejuice has received a nod for their outstanding video for ‘Broken Leg’ with a J Award Nomination. The video sees former enemies Spiradon “Mr Invisible” Savvas and Arthur “Venom” Pennington join forces to battle for skip supremacy with young upstarts Shimmer Extreme in the World Skipping Championships. You can view it here:

“Perhaps the most pertinaciously infectious Aussie song since Kylie Minogue's 'I Can't Get You Out of My Head', Sydney's favourite sons Bluejuice have crafted a song that refuses to get out of your head. 'Broken Leg' - partly inspired by the time Jake Stone had his leg broken in a wrestling incident-gone-wrong whilst on tour - is three minutes of unabashed pop.” Triple J.

‘Broken Leg’ has had over 55,000 plays on youtube and the single was the most played track at Triple J in July. It’s also been added ATB to the Nova network and has hit the ground running in the Top 100 airplay chart.

Bluejuice will be the first ever band to perform on Wide World of Sports on September 20th. With the WWOS team loving the video and the band’s skipping and sporting prowess, it was a natural progression to have them on the show.

Bluejuice are currently on tour in support of the single, hitting regional towns and cities across the nation with their dramatic, energetic live show. Bones are often broken. Carnage is often left in their wake. Check out the tour dates at

Bluejuice’s highly anticipated album, “Head of The Hawk” is out on September 18th through Dew Process.
