Bear’s Den may have just wrapped up a national tour, but their hallowed presence remains with the unveiling of new EP Without/Within - out today 1 November 2013
The British trio’s maiden Australian voyage was met with soft shrills of praise from fans and industry alike; joining ‘Brother’ bear Matt Corby on his national Resolution Tour and embarking on a series of special headline shows. First impressions are lasting, and this is one harmonious affair that is set to reach its glorious fever pitch.
The latest taste of EP Without/Within was savoured earlier this week, with Clash premiering the new video for split-track opener ‘Sahara’. Directed by emerging US director Harrison Atkins, the video explores themes of sombre nostalgia and affliction, incorporating chromakey composition and partial slow motion.
Hailed in by lead single ‘Writing On The Wall’, the new EP captures the raw dynamism and heartfelt sincerity that has Australian media fervently enlisting in the Bear’s Den procession.
The band’s Australian tour sits at the end of a massive 30-date run through the US, which saw them share the stage with thelikes of Daughter, Haim, Alabama Shakes and Mumford & Sons. Bear’s Den are on the homestretch after more than three months on the road, with a headline tour of motherland UK kicking off this week.
