The quietly buzzed London Grammar are the latest to join the roster at Dew Process. The label is elated to announce the signing, which leads the way for an Australian release of the British three-piece’s debut EP "Metal & Dust" on Friday 17th May.
The news will come as a relief to many Aussie fans, who have taken to London Grammar’s social pages in force, demanding a local release ever since track ‘Hey Now’ dotted its way onto the radar.
London Grammar is Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman, who formed the band while at university together. After being holed up in the studio for most of 2012 working on their debut album, the band dropped their first offering ‘Hey Now’ via Soundcloud; receiving more than 900,000 plays online in only a couple of months.
The forthcoming EP features four tracks: ‘Metal & Dust’, ‘Hey Now’, ‘Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me’ and ‘Hey Now (Dot Major remix)’ and is the first official release from the London trio. The EP is a collection of cinematic, epic tracks that draw you in instantly with their unique and evocative sound.
London Grammar recently performed their first London headline show at a sold out Electrowerkz. They now look to London Islington Assembly Hall on May 15th for a second sold out headline show, followed by The Great Escape. The band will then set off for festival season, including stop offs at Glastonbury, Longitude Festival and Bestival.
