Following 2 homecoming shows in Sydney/Melbourne in December last year, Expatriate will play their first run of full tour dates in the lead up to the July release of second studio album ‘Hyper/Hearts’, in the form of a Sydney/Brisbane dual-state residency, with an additional show in Melbourne.
After the success of ARIA nominated debut album “In The Midst Of This”, Expatriate relocated to the rather colder climate of Berlin, Germany to coincide with the European album release in 2009.
The band went on to play countless shows across Europe’s, including some of the biggest festivals in the festival circuit; such as Arras (France), Hard Rock Calling (London), iDays (Italy), Sziget (Hungary), Nova Rock (Austria), Werchter (Belgium),Rockwave (Greece) and German mega festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, sharing the main stages with the likes of The Killers, Placebo, Pendulum, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, Gossip and Arctic Monkeys.
Expatriate will be showcasing new songs off the Andy Savours (PNAU, The Killers) produced second album ‘Hyper/Hearts’, including ‘Miracle Mile’ (as heard on JJJ and FBI radio) and the forthcoming second single, summer anthem ‘Do You Remember’ released on 30th April.
A truly international band, Expatriate bring their live shows back to Australia, playing the new material and some old favorites including ‘Killer Kat, ‘Crazy’ and ‘The Spaces Between’, from the “Lovers Le Strange EP” and debut album “In The Midst Of This”.
