Shout Out Louds just finished the recordings of their third album to be titled “Work”.
The album was recorded in Bear Creek Studio in Seattle and is produced by Phil Ek – who has produced bands like Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, The Shins, Built To Spill, Modest Mouse.
The singer Adam Olenius explains regarding the album title “Work”:
“I am fascinated by when you create something and almost work yourself to death. The relief when it is over and how one can just shut off a part of ones life. That was one of the reasons why we decided to record the album in Seattle. Work also have the meaning of that something “does work”, to reach a goal. Then John Cale and Lou Reed also helped us with the title with a track from their album “Songs for Drella”.
The album will be released during early 2010 and will be followed by touring.
