London Grammar unveil preview shows, the listening party and 'Strong' as the next single  02 September 2013



 

Good things come to those who wait, but London Grammar have a little treat in store for those who simply cannot. Fans from across the globe are invited to a special digital preview of If You Wait all this week, ahead of its release this Friday, September 6. For southern-hemisphere dwellers, a special broadcast time of 10am-2pm AEST (1am-5am GMT) or 4pm-8pm AEST (7am-11am GMT) everyday this week has been announced. These special broadcasts will end September 8th and access is limited. To be among the first to hear it, register for a listening session at www.londongrammar.com/ifyouwait then use the e-ticket provided to access the stream during your chosen time.
The good news keeps coming for Sydney-siders, with a physical listening party announced in conjunction with Yen Magazine, fashion retailer Incu and design institute Whitehouse. Taking over Redfern’s Black Penny this Wednesday, September 4,t the exclusive party will allow like-minded fans to ogle over London Grammar’s new album, drink in hand, ahead of release. With just days before the new album hits shelves, the British three-piece have unveiled the final, killer blow with new single ‘Strong’. Featuring Hannah Reid’s unmistakable, soaring vocals over Dot Major and Dan Rothman’s soulful and melancholic soundscapes, the track has already caused a stir in the UK - landing #1 on Hype Machine within its first day of surfacing online and quickly pulling adds at BBC’s Radio 1, XFM and MTV. After the huge success of ‘Wasting My Young Years’, news of London Grammar’s maiden voyage to Australia for Falls / Southbound Festival was excitedly welcomed, with fans busting to witness the trio’s enchanting live show. The announcement follows London Grammar’s sold out London dates in March/May, coveted spots on Glastonbury and The xx’s self-curated Night + Day festival, and a Top 40 Chart in the UK.
